The centre is divided into two departments: the Cardiac Centre (Specialist Outpatient) and the Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Therapy Room. The Cardiac Centre offers heart health check-ups and specialist consultations, where experienced cardiologists analyze patients' medical histories and symptoms, conduct appropriate examinations, and provide treatments with follow-up care. The Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Therapy Room provides safe and efficient interventional diagnostic and treatment services for cardiovascular diseases, including 24-hour emergency treatment for acute myocardial infarction patients.
The centre offers a one-stop service from examination and diagnosis to treatment, dedicated to ensuring the heart health of the community.
Located at 1 Old Peak Road within Caritas Medical Centre, the hospital was founded by the Caritas Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres in 1929. Starting with just 16 beds, it has grown to currently offer 148 beds, continually providing inpatient and outpatient services to meet the physiological, psychological, and spiritual needs of every individual, achieving high-quality and holistic healthcare. In 1991, the administrative management of the hospital was transferred to Caritas Hong Kong. Under Caritas management, major renovations began in 2007, transforming the hospital into a modern, high-quality facility that meets current standards.
